Last week I was given the most amazing, miraculous experience I have ever had the priviledge to shoot. Between many tears I was able to shoot my dear friends/fellow photographer/sister-in-laws birth of her son. I have been nervous for weeks that I would not be able to make it to the hospital in time. But on Wednesday morning I received "The Call", got to the hospital, and approximately an hour and a half later this little man made his appearance into the world. It was a FAST birth and Summer did amazing(Matt, you too!)...(by the way, she had no time for any drugs or anything)!
Truly, this was absolutely an amazing experience! I hope to have the honor of shooting more deliveries in the future. What an incredible way to remember what you went through and to capture the pure emotion between you and your spouse.
Here are just a few images...okay, honestly, here are a lot of images!

Megan,
There just are no words to express how we truly feel about these images. I am so blessed not only to call you my friend and "sister", but also our birth photographer. These images are truly priceless - I could never have imagined they would be so beautiful. I only wish we would have done this with all my births. To see it from the "outside" like this is just amazing. What a gift not only to Matt & I, but to Charlotte & Clive. We will treasure these forever.
Can't wait to see the rest :) :)
Beautiful job capturing the most precious moment in life. Birth photography is amazing...I too love it!
This is so beautiful. Amazing. It makes me so motivated into having this done next time around. What a gift to give to my child, and a memory for myself.
These are amazing Meg! You did such a great job at capturing Summer's birth....and I love all the little details you captured.....so lovely. I wish I had been able to have had my births captured this way.....
